Mine never moved, but I did "grant them souls" and held long conversations. Not at 5 or 6, but 10 and 11 was when they spoke to me the most. They watched my life through my eyes, and if I went to a movie, I would touch their glass eyes before going, so that they would be able to see the movie clearly. I remember overhearing a conversation once between three of them. (They certainly did have conversations not involving me, though I often joined as soon as I heard.) They were talking about the limitations of being in a stuffed animal. I didn't understand. At the end they told me that as kind spirits, they were there for me and their forms were actually their greatest asset. The Veleteen Rabbit has always been especially important to me. My stuffed animals firmly told me I was going to heaven and that in heaven, the material forms do not matter and existence is infinite. Because of the infinite amount of time spent with material forms unimportant, the finite time we spend in material forms (either as stuffed animals, or 11 year old children) is no curse, and is in fact a rare and memorable experience.
